It is an autonomous institution under the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and affiliated with the Delhi University . IHBAS has received various awards in the field of healthcare, such as the International Award in Healthcare Sphere “Rose of Paracelsus” by European Medical Association, United Kingdom, and India Healthcare Award , and has been ranked among the top 5 in the Kayakalp Program for several years. IHBAS offers a range of Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Diploma programs in mental health disciplines such as MD in Psychiatry , DM in Neurology, M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, M.Sc . in Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, and Post–Basic Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing (DPN).
