DGC Gurgaon, popularly known as Dronacharya Government College, is a government college located in Gurgaon. Established in 1980 , the college has on its rolls 2000 students in the distance education programme and 1600 students in the IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) study centre. DGC Gurgaon is recognised by the UGC and not accredited by the NAAC . It has been ranked 30 under the BBA/BMS category in Competitor 1 Rankings 2025. According to IIRF Rankings, DGC Gurgaon ranks at 8 in the BBA/BMS Category and ranks 5 in the BCA Category. It is affiliated with Gurugram University. DGC Gurgaon offers a total of 28 programs, out of which BSc serves as the The most popular Program. The major courses offered are BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), BBA, BA, and PG diploma. Facilities and Infrastructure DGC Gurgaon is very big from as per the government college with so much greenery and well maintained structure .Campus is full of natural beauty there are trees and gardens all over the college and the surrounding is relaxing.The water facility in this college is also good as there are water coolers in approx all the blocks.Fee structure is very low it is highly affordable. Infrastructure is really good. And had a good ambience. All societies and clubs are available in the college.There is a career development club also available in the college.The size of library is large. DGC Gurgaon provides a list of Codes of Conduct to be followed.Its important to attend all the classes regularly as per the assigned timetable and maintain at least 75% record in his/her attendance.Absence in class for more than 7days together without any information to the concerned teacher will result in getting the name struck off as well as inviting a fine.Students will have to bring their parents/guardians to seek readmission within 15 days of their name getting struck off the rolls. Ques.What is the motive behind organising NCC in DGC Gurgaon? Ans. DGC Gurgaon has taken a lead and joined the “elite NCC-University Corps” to train its students to join the services as officers. DGC is a sub unit of 5 HR Battalion NCC with one platoon of 150 cadets (SD/SW) which include 107 boys and 43 girls. The college offers ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates for Senior Division/Senior wing (SD/SW) cadets. The College has an NCC Office and separate parade ground for cadets. The college strongly supports NCC training both financially and morally at the campus. While pursuing the course, NCC cadets undergo different training programs such as Drill, Physical fitness and various other activities . It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
