About All India Management Association - [AIMA]
The All India Management Association (AIMA) is the apex body for management in India with over 38000 members and close to 6000 corporate /institutional members through 66 Local Management Associations affiliated with it. AIMA has formed over 60 years ago and is a non-lobbying, not-for-profit organization, working closely with industry, Government, Academia and Students, to further the cause of the management profession in India. Post Graduate Diploma in Management is approved by UGC since 1994. It is at par with MBA in terms of Course Design & Content. However, technically PGDM & MBA are two different programs, MBA is offered by a University and PGDM is offered by Non-University Institutes. It depends on Individual Universities to consider the PGDM equivalent to MBA. Like Aligarh Muslim University considers the AIMA-PGDM equivalent to MBA.
