HFCON, New Delhi , established in 1956 as a School of Nursing , evolved into a full-fledged college in 2011 . Affiliated with the Delhi University and managed by the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese , it is recognised by the INC and the DNC , and is accredited by the NAAC. . HFCON ranks 6 in India for Nursing per IIRF 2023 . The college offers B.Sc. (Hons.), Post-Basic B.Sc., and M.Sc. Programs. Nursing, and GNM programs, Diploma programs with B.Sc. Nursing as its flagship course . Its total fee is INR 4.16 lakhs . The eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board. The ultimate selection is based on performance at the entrance test as well as the interviews conducted by the college. HFCON placement 2025 report is yet to be released. However, the college provides 100% placement assistance . Most students do their internships, and they are absorbed and hired immediately at Holy Family Hospital. The average salary package of entry-level graduates is around INR 24,000 per month, and after entering service, they can choose to work in critical care, community health, and super-speciality departments. The college also sets students up for higher education studies and to work outside of the country as registered nurses.
HFCON’s 23-acre campus has all of the appropriate academic and clinical facilities to support nursing education. Smart classrooms and e-learning devices are available for teaching, with six dedicated nursing laboratories provided for clinical skills sessions, and there are central and medical libraries that offer access to important medical journals at both a national and international level. Clinical training takes place at Holy Family Hospital , which is connected to the HFCON campus and has 345 beds and multiple specialities. A separate hostel for girls that includes basic amenities like Wi-Fi, a water supply, and a mess. Practical training is an essential aspect of nursing education at HFCON. Students are typically assigned to various departments of a college-affiliated or college-based teaching hospital for practical training. Students are given clinical exposure through rotations in medical-surgical nursing, midwifery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, and community health. Students engage in patient care under the supervision of experienced faculty and registered nurses during their clinical experience, which develops their hands-on skills, practical techniques, and care of patients.
