Facilities The campus of ARS BEd College is located on a huge area of 2.2 acres of land and is also surrounded by the lush greenery to give positive ambiance to students, teachers and all staff members. Additionally, there is the most favorable working-learning culture and support system for teachers to teach, students to learn and everyone to grow on both personal and professional level. Following are details of basic to advanced amenities which the college has developed to bridge the gaps between students skills and demands of the educational world. Smart Classrooms: In today’s highly competitive world, it has become crucial for educational institutions to keep its students cum future teachers aware about the latest technologies, trends and modern teaching techniques along with delivering quality education so that they can thrive in future, therefore Dhanbad based ARS BEd College has established top-notch and hi-tech classrooms on campus over the years. And all the lecture halls are well-resourced with facilities like projector and audio-video systems to make learning more engaging and interesting. Internet connectivity is also available in all classes so that teachers can deliver lectures effectively and fruitful discussion can be conducted. Auditorium: For the purpose of keeping students in sync with happening of educational sector and facilitate direct interaction between them and eminent professors for students essential skills development, the institution has developed spacious, cutting-edge and futuristic Auditorium so that events and various extracurricular activities such as expert lectures, symposiums, conferences and webinars can be conducted on a regular basis smoothly. ICT Resource Center: As we all know that after successfully completing B.Ed or D.El.Ed courses, students can teach the younger generation of society and directly contribute to nation building, therefore only textual knowledge alone would not be sufficient and future teachers must also be digitally competent. Therefore, a sophisticated Computer Center has been set up in college premises and the 20 latest computer systems are installed here with all kinds of required software. Also, all computer systems are connected with each other through high-speed internet connectivity and both teachers as well as students use this space to conduct online research and learn new things on the internet. Canteen: With the aim to serve fresh, delicious and tasty snacks, breakfast and meals to both students and staff members at an affordable price, a big and aesthetically developed cafeteria has also been developed by the college on its campus. Also, this place is used by students for informal chit-chat with their peers, to relax and rejuvenate themselves after their classes. Library cum Reading Room: A new gen and fully-computerized Library has been established too by the college on its campus to inculcate reading habits in students and enhance their subject knowledge with additional learning sources and Photocopy facility and Internet facility are available here. Also, this library has a seating capacity of 60 people and is also a home of 4535 textbooks, 7000 books on literature, philosophy, history, biography, science, politics, education and so on. Apart from this, 1606 titles, 76 educational journals and 25 subscribed journals, reference books, newspapers and magazines like Front Line, Kurukshetra, Vigyan Pragati, Yojna, Success Mirror, India Today, Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success Review, Samsamayiki Mahasagar, Science Reporter, Cricket Samrat and Computer Sanchar Suchna are available here. Laboratories: Following laboratories are also available on the college campus: Psychology Lab: This lab has been set up to educate students about psychological traits of people, human behavior in general and stress management and decision making techniques. Language Lab: As the name itself is self explanatory, purpose of this lab is to develop listening and communication skills of students Science Lab: Here students primarily practice the activities of Scientists by asking questions, performing procedures and collecting and analyzing data. In other words, they develop their scientific temperament and research capabilities here by working on their innovative ideas. Science Lab – 2: With the objective to help biology students conduct experiments, a sophisticated science lab with facilities like Books of Science, Model and apparatus and water supply. Music Room: To help students learn new things, reduce stress and rejuvenate themselves after hectic lectures, a Music Room has been set up by the college on campus. Also, students get numerous opportunities to express themselves by singing a song and composing lyrics. Apart from this, this ambiance helps the college to improve the well-being of students and make their life more enjoyable. Art & Craft Resource Centre: This space has been developed by the institution for the mental growth of students by offering them enough opportunities and ways to try new ideas and strengthen their thinking and problem solving skills. In other words, students get to develop their motor and cognitive skills and enhance their self-expression and self-esteem. Health & Physical Resource: For the purpose of ensuring complete personal and professional growth of students, various kinds of indoor and outdoor sports activities including Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carroms, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Throwball and Volleyball etc. along with physical development activities are organized in the college on a regular basis. And students' participation in games and sports activities develops the spirits of healthy competition in them. Boy’s and Girl’s Common Room: There are also separate common rooms for both girls and boys in the campus of college and this recreational space has primarily been developed to give students a favorable environment for boys and girls talks on general topics and also on current affairs. In addition to this, these rooms are used by boys and girls to share a bond of friendship with their peers, sit, talk and relax. Transport: The college also has enough transport facilities for pickup and drop of students and staff members from nearby locations of Dhanbad and other adjoining areas. Medical and Security: Enough arrangements have also been made by the college for security of students and staff members and in case of any health emergency, they can even avail basic medical facilities and consultation. Last but not the least, there is a Multipurpose Hall, visitors rooms, separate toilet facility for male and female students and staff members, parking space and store room on the campus of the ARS BEd College.
